The image is sampled to a coarse weave grid, each cell quantised to a dye palette, then dressed with the structure of a real weave: fine vertical warp threads through every cell, a weft shadow between rows and per-row colour abrash (hand-dye drift). The blocky, stepped colour edges read as slit-weave kilim rather than a mosaic. Controls: weave width and cell aspect, warp threads, weft shadow; snap-to-dyes with an editable palette (or full source colour), saturation and abrash. Cell-based and batched, so it stays cheap at any canvas size. With no source it weaves a synthesized gradient so it still previews.
